South University Online Nursing

Online South University offers two options for students who want to pursue a career in nursing. Students can earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree online (BSN Online) or a Master in Nursing degree online (MSN).

Nurses are in high demand and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects nurses will comprise the second largest number of new jobs among all occupations. South University’s Online RN to BSN degree completion program emphasizes traditional classroom studies with interactive labs and practical experience. Students who are pursuing a BSN online or a Masters in Nursing through South University Online can complete their education without interrupting their career or schedules.

South University Online also offers an accelerated course schedule helping nurses complete their BSN online in as little as a year and a half.

The South University BSN online program focuses on:

  • Innovative health care concepts in palliative care
  • Gerontological nursing
  • Alternative nursing methods

Nursing students will also develop management skills such as delegating responsibility and making sound decisions. No campus residency is required for South University’s RN to BSN program and students can attend classes anytime and any day.

Students can also earn a BSN online while still working full-time and complete courses in 5 and ½ weeks. Nurses can also earn a Master of Science in Nursing online with many of the same benefits. The Master in Nursing program is for students who want to enhance their knowledge as a registered nurse, learn to put research to use and develop clinical teaching skills. Online South University nursing programs encourage students who have a passion for caring and healing others to advance their skills to pursue a career in the rewarding field of nursing.

Tuition depends on the degree program. Financial Aid is available for eligible students and South University’s Department of Financial Aid helps students apply for all federal, state and institutional grants, scholarships and loans.
